Samurai Spirits Tenka |

SNK Playmore unveils the new Samurai Spirits (Samurai Shodown outside of Japan) which will be released on Atomiswave. For those who didn't follow the news, the Atomiswave is the arcade system SNK Playmore chose to release their next games, having moved on from the Neo·Geo because of piracy issues. And for those who haven't followed anything at all, Samurai Spirits is a weapon-based fighting games series of which I'm a big fan. The full title of the game is Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuden, which means "The story of the strongest swordman" (thanks to Iggy for the translation). The official site of this new Samurai Spirits doesn't really give out any information on the game for now, apart from the fact that location tests will be organized (in Japan) the 30th of April and the 1st of May. We can also notice that Haohmaru and Nakoruru will be featured in the game, which isn't a surprise. Besides, it doesn't look like Yuki, who made the two last Samurai Spirits, is working on this one. I'll keep you updated! |
Heroes of Might & Magic V |

Heroes of Might & Magic is the only PC game series I'm interested in, and I've been following it since the first installment... For those who don't know about it, it's a turn-based strategy game series with RPG elements. 3DO (New World Computing actually), the creator of Heroes of Might & Magic, went bankrup almost two years ago. However, the Might & Magic licence is now in the hands of Ubisoft. Today, Ubisoft officially announced the creation of the 5th episode of Heroes of Might & Magic, which should be released in early 2006. Let's hope this game will live up to the hype, despite the fact the original team isn't working on it... Heroes of Might and Magic V official site |

ZSNES v1.42, among other things |

2 news in a row... I'm on fire. To begin with, the 1.41 and 1.42 versions of ZSNES have been released just recently... Mainly bug fixes. Besides, I updated my site again. I decided to just get rid of the M.U.G.E.N, after all... Since its creators haven't given any sign of life for a while, and because that section of my site was rather empty anyway. I also did some cleaning in the links, dumping all dead links and abandonned sites... which halved their amount. :p |

As you can see, I overhauled the site a bit... I also slightly modified the menu. I packed the Emu and ROMs sections together in the "Emu/ROMs" section, the same goes for the RPG Maker 95 and M.U.G.E.N sections in the "Makers" section. By the way, the "Me" section has been renamed to "About", so as to hide my narcissism. I also dumped the Ads section from the site, as it served no purpose. |

I've been the happy owner of the arcade (MVS) version of Samurai Spirits Zero Special (Jap version of Samurai Shodown V Special, for those who are following...) for a few weeks now. I've been playing it quite a bit, and took the time to write a review for it, which has been posted on GameFAQs. I invite 2D fighting games fans (and especially Samurai Shodown ones) to read my review, and maybe to get it if they don't already have it... because it's worth it. I know everyone doesn't have the money to spend on the Neo·Geo version (AES or MVS), but the game is supposed to get ported on PlayStation 2 and X-Box... and therefore at a much more affordable price. :p Direct link to the review *Update: After all, the game won't see the day on PS2 and X-Box* |
Universe BIOS v2.0 |

Posted on 24-Aug-2004 by Stifu |
It's been a while since I last talked about Samurai Shodown 5 Special (Samurai Spirits Zero Special in Japan)... Anyway, those who have been following the events know that the game for Neo·Geo AES has been censored by SNK Playmore. Important game elements have been removed, and moreover, bugs have been added in the process because of this rushed censorship. This is the first time that a Neo·Geo game on console isn't loyal to its arcade counterpart, and it's a shame, in my opinion... Playmore spoiled Yuki's work, the team that made the game, and gave a bad taste to the very last Neo·Geo release, which would have let the Neo·Geo go out with a bang. HOWEVER, there's a solution to pass through the censorship and the bugs that Playmore added to the game. This solution is the Universe BIOS, developed by Razoola. It's a program that, once flashed a on chip and installed in a Neo·Geo, gives access to numerous options et cheats normally inaccessible. The version 2.0 of the Universe BIOS, recently released, fixes the problems of Samurai Shodown 5 Special, and makes it possible to play the game the way it was meant to be. There... I just wanted to spread the word for those who are interested. Kudos to Yuki for this awesome game, many thanks to Razoola for his work and devotion, and a big "booooooh" to Playmore for having fucked up once again... :) The Universe BIOS Official Homepage |

Fusion 0.1 is there! ... What is Fusion ? Welllll, it's an emulator, but not any emulator. It's an improved and recoded version of Kega, the SG-1000, SC-3000, Master System, Game Gear, Genesis and Sega CD emulator by Steve Snake! Fusion also emulates the 32X... A few details about this great emulator:
